Bringing new life into an iconic building
The Blanche's next chapter in Downtown Lake City has officially started. Hundreds of locals gathered this week at the historic Hotel Blanche for a brick breaking ceremony to celebrate its upcoming redevelopment. Guests enjoyed tours throughout the building, live music by Matt Johns, tasty treats by Laura Fowler Goss, delicious brews by Halpatter Brewing Co., and a brick breaking ceremony hosted by Lake City Chamber of Commerce.
The Blanche redevelopment includes multi-purpose community event space, traditional office space, coworking & shared office space, storefront retail & restaurants, residential apartments with 1 & 2 bedroom floor plans, and corporate/short-term furnished apartments. Once completed, the renovation of the historic Hotel Blanche will bring new life into the downtown area and The Blanche will reestablish its status as the epicenter for downtown Lake City.
